Saying farewell to Arran – a Charities crowdfunding project in Bristol by Hannah Middlefinch
We have lost our dear friend Arran, his family and friends are raising money to cover the costs of bringing him home, to say goodbye.
We love Arran deeply, and although he left the party early, we are all forever grateful for the time he spent with us.
Arran ended his life on 23rd June at his home in Beniali, Spain. He had lived in Bristol for many years, and moved to Spain to live with his wife and child in 2020.
Arran is currently still in Spain, and we are asking for donations from the community to bring him home so we can celebrate his life with his family and friends.
There is much uncertainty during this difficult time, and although formal arrangements are yet to be confirmed, we know that the costs will be high. As we know, covid-19 has impacted all of our lives, and considerably increased all costs involved, including his repatriation. We are concerned about the financial impact that this will have on family, which includes his pregnant wife and child, for whom Arran was the sole provider.
We are asking you to please kindly donate whatever you are able, within your means. This money will go towards covering the costs of his repatriation, holding a service to say our goodbyes, to settle some debts (as per his wishes) and set up a fund for his children. We are hoping that this will relieve the family of some worries and allow Arran to rest peacefully in a way that he would have wanted.
We’d appreciate if you could share this page, with the hope that Arran’s story is met with the love, compassion and generosity that he gave to us.
