Ethereum 2.0’s Genesis Day Is Officially Set for Dec. 1 – CoinDesk

by crypto journalist
“I would say we are comfortably half-way through the overall effort to make Eth 2 feature complete,” Drake told CoinDesk over direct message. “The research (which lasted years!) is largely done and the phase 0 genesis is definitely a significant implementation milestone. Phase 0 lays the heavy-duty foundations (signatures, Merkleisation, networking, Eth 1 deposits, randomness, PoS, etc.). Many of the upcoming hard forks will layer relatively thin infrastructure on top of these foundations.” As for the rest of the bootstrapping phases, Drake said the second to last one — the full merging of Ethereum 1.0’s blockchain and ecosystem of tokens […]

Ethereum and Ripple are exploding higher thanks to the growing interest in cryptocurrencies that lifted Bitcoin above $18,000

by crypto journalist
Summary List Placement Ethereum and Ripple are soaring, echoing the powerful rally in Bitcoin, as mass interest in cryptocurrencies picks up steam. Ethereum has jumped almost four-fold this year to just below $600, although this is still short of its record $1,500 in January 2018. The price of smaller crypto rival Ripple has hit its highest since mid-2019, having doubled in value in this month alone. This growing interest raises red flags, because many people are pouring in money into cryptocurrencies without really understanding how they work, which could lead to several mistakes and lost money, a researcher said. Bitcoin’s […]

Did Mail-in Ballots Secretly Contain Quantum Blockchain Watermarks?

by crypto journalist
Voting in the 2020 U.S. Election may be over, but the misinformation keeps on ticking. Never stop fact-checking. Follow our post-election coverage here. Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s projected loss in the 2020 election, several vague claims asserting a sting operation aimed at catching Democrats in the act of voter fraud have gone viral. As we explained in an earlier, more general debunker, such claims — including this one — rely on a series of deeply flawed assumptions about the role of the federal government in ballot production and the mechanics of the American electoral process.  At issue in this […]

Ethereum 2.0: What is it and Why is the Price Booming? | SwissBorg

by crypto journalist
On November 4th, Ethereum’s founder, Vitalik Buterin, tweeted that the ETH2 deposit contract had been released. Ethereum 2.0 is the protocol’s largest update since its inception. It is a paradigm shift which will change the Ethereum network allowing it to become the “world computer”. How will Ethereum 2.0 differ from 1.0? Unsure about what Ethereum 1.0 is and how it works? Check out this article on our website.   Just like Bitcoin, Ethereum 1.0 uses Proof of Work (PoW), an energy intensive procedure, as a consensus mechanism for verifying transactions. It will switch via a hard fork to using the […]

The Watermark – QFS Blockchain Encryption Code – In5D : In5D

by crypto journalist
by Gregg Prescott, M.S. Founder, Webmaster, & Editor, In5D.com What if there was a sting operation in motion years ago in order to expose voter fraud and democrat corruption? What if that plan is now being exposed? Steve Pieczenik stated the following:  “There are honorable members of our intelligence, military, and civilian communities, in the government, who understood EXACTLY how corrupt Biden and the Democratic machinery is, was, and will be.  This is really a sting operation, contrary to what everybody else said. Trump knew this was happening.  Eric knew this was happening and warned the public.  I knew this […]

Ethereum 2.0 Countdown Begins With Deposit Contract Release – CoinDesk

by crypto journalist
The genesis time for Eth 2.0 was first set for Jan. 3, the 12th anniversary of the launch of the Bitcoin network. The date has been moved, the GitHub file shows, to Dec. 1. After publication of this article, the deposit contract file was confirmed by an Ethereum Foundation blog. “We’re all excited,” Ethereum 2.0 researcher Danny Ryan told CoinDesk in an October email. “This has been a long time coming, and countless researchers, engineers, and community members have put blood, sweat, and tears into this project. Feels good to finally bootstrap Ethereum’s long-awaited proof-of-stake consensus.”  On a practical level, […]

Bitcoin price nears $16K, but it’s Ethereum that may shine in November

by crypto journalist
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) is nearing $16,000 after achieving $15,960 on Binance. Following the dominant cryptocurrency’s rally, analysts are now looking toward Ether (ETH). The Ethereum blockchain’s native token has seen heightened momentum in the past week. After underperforming against BTC in October, the probability of a new ETH rally is beginning to increase. There are two key reasons why analysts expect Ether to perform strongly in the near term. First, the capital in the Bitcoin market could move into ETH following the announcement of Ethereum 2.0. Second, ETH recently tested a critical resistance level, raising the chances of […]

by crypto journalist
Here at WeLoveTrump we continue to investigate the story of watermarked ballots. Is the story true? Just a larp? Don’t know. But I’m going to continue reporting what I see and let you decide! And we can all watch and see what plays out in the days and weeks to come I guess. Here’s what’s new…. I want to investigate CISA. Have you heard a lot about CISA recently? What is it?  Is it real? Yes, it’s real. From CISA.gov: The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is the Nation’s risk advisor, working with partners to defend against today’s threats […]

The Bitcoin and Ethereum Show

by crypto journalist
Original post date: November 02, 2020 [October 2020 Update] Why now may be the time to seriously look into crypto I always say knowledge is the new money. Knowledge does not go away, it stays with you and it evolves with you. No one can take it from you. I start with that because we are seeing it right now. Your money is being taken from you. As the Federal Reserve Bank keeps printing money, money becomes devalued. Is your paycheck going up to match the disappearing value? Probably not, your money is being stolen. Banks are not giving any […]

AirAsia launches Thai cargo-only flights with blockchain platform | Air Cargo World

by crypto journalist
Teleport, the logistics platform of low-cost carrier AirAsia, has added eleven weekly cargo-only flights serving regional destinations in Asia from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) airports.   Cargo capacity for the flights, operated by AirAsia’s Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X subsidiaries, is completely visible to airlines and shippers through blockchain-based platform Freightchain, a Teleport-subsidiary.  Teleport told Air Cargo World that adopting the Freightchain platform allows it to make the capacity on the flights available to other interline carriers without having to go through the traditional interlining process, which is manual and time-consuming.  “Freightchain enables buyers to programmatically search…
